Project Description

The existing wooden wharf structure outside Lidgard House had deteriorated over time and was deemed unsafe. TMS were engaged to refurbish/rebuild a new wooden wharf to ensure the safety of any users. TMS undertook the responsibility to construct and design the wharf to ensure that it could be constructed within a realistic timeframe and met the necessary safety provisions.

The entire project was completed within 3 weeks and ready for the holiday boaties visiting the island over the 2010/2011 summer. The client's feedback was complimentary on the overall timeframe taken to complete the project and TMS's care and attention to detail.

The new Wharf and the refurbishment of the existing gangway and floating pontoon will ensure the RNZYS will continue to provide safe mooring and docking facilities for a further 30-40 years.
