To whom it may concern

I have over many years had a business association with Total Marine Services and more recently Total Floating Systems and can state without any hesitation that Brent and his crew are experts in their field. This company has many varied skills with highly experienced staff to complete maritime construction on time and within budget and together with an impressive range of specialist plant and equipment to ensure any contingency will be covered. I have had associations with eight marine construction companies over the last 30 years completing more than 17 marina developments together with numerous marine civil engineering projects and I can confidently state that Total Marine Services would be my first choice for future marine works.

Most recently Total Marine Services have successfully completed projects for my company Orakei Marina and additions to the Tutukaka Marina. As specialist consultant to Whangamata Marina I can confirm their efforts resulted in the offshore works being completed without any problems and ahead of schedule.

Total Marine Services provides a quality of installation of the floating structures and associated piling which is impeccable and without doubt are leaders in this field. Their new floating structures are extremely innovative with many advantages on standard floatation.

Swansea Bay Wharf

Date: May 2010

Hi Brett,

Just a short note to let you know that the crew you had working on our wharf in Swansea Bay did a fantastic job. Seldom have I seen such dedication to a job than those guys did. They worked from daylight to dusk sometime in pouring rain which would have most workers heading for cover. Between Jim and myself we were there if needed but seldom were. The finished job is a testament to your guy’s workman ship. I for one would have no hesitation in recommending your company to anyone.

Thanks again.

To whom it may concern

My name is Mick Kelly. I was President of the Whangamata Marina Society from its inception in 1992 until my retirement from the post in November 2009. I was intimately involved in the design and tendering stage, and was Project Director during the construction stage. A separate tender was let for the pontoons and poles, with associated electrical reticulation, water reticulation and gangways. After the outsiders were eliminated, two serious contenders remained – Bellingham Marine and Total Marine Services. After consultation with people experienced in the Marina Industry, the contract was awarded to Total Marine Services. I never had cause to regret that decision. Total Marine Services performance was outstanding. They were innovative, flexible, easy to work with and totally reliable. At the end of the project they delivered an excellent product on time and on budget. I have no hesitation in giving their services the highest recommendation. I am happy to discuss any aspects of this reference

Whangarei Harbour Marina Management Trust

Total Marine Services have undertaken contract work for our facility since 2006 which consisted of two new developments and big number of pile replacements. I have no hesitation in recommending Total Marine Services to any person or organisation to use this company for any maritime construction or maintenance work.
· They are very professional in consultation during planning and offer very good concept ideas and are always available to give advice
· Always prompt when pricing jobs and the presentation is precise, accurate and easy to understand
· The construction work is undertaken in a professional and practical manner to have the least disruption to our operating facility.
· The construction staff has always been very considerate and accommodating to customers.
· The construction staff has helped our staff when required to either shift boats or different tasks required to assist the job running smoothly.
· I have been very happy with the completed construction work and have not had any problems with the product at a later date.
· I have found that they go beyond expectations and have often done extra work in good will.
· The design for their floats has looked outside the square and are constantly researching new ideas to improve the product which will be better for the marina operator and our customers. The main focuses appears to have limited maintenance required, user friendly, appearance and quicker to assemble.
· 2007 6000m3 of dredging was undertaken
· The big plus is I have never had any disputes or had to pay for variations outside the contract work to complete the required work.

Please feel free to contact myself if any further information is required or if you just want to have a casual chat.

To Whom It May Concern:

Re: Brent Shipman Total Marine Services Ltd

Brent worked for Emirates Team New Zealand during the 2007 America's Cup. He oversaw the engineering; construction and installation of our travel lift piers and floating pontoons at the new team base in Valencia Spain. The project was made quite difficult given the Spanish bureaucracy, the language barriers and the lack of contacts on the ground in Valencia. Several teams had struggled to install their facilities on time and within a reasonable budget. Through solid kiwi can do, good management, and high skill level - We did not have that problem. Brent was a pleasure to deal with, professional and undoubtedly went beyond the call of duty many times throughout the project to get the job done.

We would not hesitate to employ Brent and/or his company to undertake similar projects in the future.

Yours faithfully

Ian Stewart, Emirates Team New Zealand

Orams Marine slipway

Date: January 2010

To Tim, Brent & Floats Team

I want to thank you for an outstanding display of operational management under the most difficult of circumstances during the recent removal of Orams Marine submerged slipway concrete beam.

Your ability to adjust immediately as required, to the unfolding demands, emphasises the professionalism of your company. To have the resources to respond so decisively with additional men & appropriate equipment at 5pm on a Friday afternoon indicates the depth of your company's resources in the performance of a contract, involving a site where conditions are virtually unknown.

It is a pleasure to work with such a committed & dedicated team
